Acer’s new DX11 Predator unveiled

28 June 2010

Remember Acer’s Predator gaming machines? The ones with the awesome robot-like cases, built in water-cooling, and high-end specifications? Well, Acer has revealed a brand new one, sporting some pretty epic innards.

The creatively subtitled Predator AG7750-U2222 (really guys?) packs an Intel i7 930 CPU, 12GB of RAM, a 1.5TB hard drive, and an Nvidia Geforce GTX 470.  Oddly, this high-end beast skips the GTX 480 in favour of the more mainstream 470. The machine costs $1999.

No word on whether these babies will hit local shores anytime soon, although their predecessor did.
