Razer CEO Ming-Liang Tan revealed the “console of the future” during Google’s I/O conference – a micro-machine that runs on Android.

The Razer console will be powered by Android TV and will stream movies, music, and various apps. The focus of the Razer console will be gaming, which will be controlled through a tablet or smartphone app, or voice control.

“The Razer micro-console incorporates… hardcore and casual gaming on an affordable system,” said Tan. Pricing is yet to be released.

In terms of specifications, no details have been made available as yet, although the console is being worked on by the same team that put together the Project Christine concept PC.

The device is expected to launch before the end of 2014. Looks like the Mad Catz Mojo has some competition.
