Mouse customisation is a strong selling point for gaming mice these days – or that’s at least what the peripheral makers would like us to think.
Roccat has now decided it wants to lead the pack when it comes to personalising your gaming clicker.
The peripheral maker has introduced the Roccat Nyth, which sets a new benchmark when it comes to deciding what buttons you would like on your mouse.
Basically, the Nyth allows you to 3D print your own buttons and attach them to suit your hand.
“The Nyth is a chameleon, capable of transforming to a MOBA and FPS mouse easily with custom button placement, and interchangable side-parts. Optimised for 3D-printing, design your own buttons and side parts, or use Roccat’s growing list of both via our online file library,” Roccat said on the site.
Roccat describes the Nyth as an MMO mouse, but its ability to be customised at will means it can transcend genres.
Roccat also announced a new keyboard, the Skelter, which connects to your smartphone using the company’s Swarm Driver software.
Why would you want to connect your phone? Well, it’s not to read texts while you game, but to launch applications from your phone, configure different Roccat devices, and answer calls by pressing a button on your keyboard.
Next on the list – a controller that dispenses nachos and hot sauce please.
