Peripheral maker Razer has revealed its latest mechanical gaming keyboard – the BlackWidow Ultimate Chroma.
The slick-looking keyboard opens up “limitless personalisation options” for gamers, and features back-lighting variations to the tune of 16.8 million colours.
“Whether it’s your favorite shade of green or your guild colors, Chroma gives you the freedom to decide,” say Razer. The various lighting effects can be viewed on Razer’s website.
The BlackWidow offers several customisation options within the colour settings, including the ability to save and load templates, customise individual keys, and a reactive mode that lights up keys when pressed which then fade over three timing settings.
Once you get past the pretty colours, Razer promises the mechanical keys are the business, with each key able to withstand 60 million keystrokes for greater durability, and the keys actuating at an optimal distance to give gamers better responsiveness.
A quick look online did not reveal any local retailers offering the Chroma just yet, but the keyboard is selling for $179.99 (±R1,900) in the States.
