HD 6000 won’t be a huge leap

19 July 2010

According to Fudzilla’s inside sources, AMD’s upcoming HD 6000 series will not be a major improvement over the current HD 5000 series.

The new cards will be tweaked versions of the current HD 5000 cards, and will be getting slight updates to the architecture used in current chips.

The next big step then will be AMD’s 28nm graphics overhaul, which is expected to be released sometime next year.

This is great news for anyone with a HD 5000 card, as they can rest easily knowing that their hardware will still be relatively cutting edge, at least for the next year.
