Cougar Gaming coming to South Africa

German gaming brand Cougar is coming to South Africa.

For those of you who have never heard of the brand, myself included, it started in 2007 with the aim of bringing “technological advancements” to the world of gaming.

One of the products the company is punting is its 700M gaming mouse. The device is due to arrive in SA in December 2014 and has a recommended retail price of R934.

The 700M comes with an 8200DPI sensor, has an aluminium frame, adjustable weights, and various sniper and fire buttons.

According to Cougar the 700M was the first aluminium mouse to hit the market and went on to win the iF International Design Award of 2014. A mouse made out of aluminium actually sounds quite cool, although my current plastic Logitech is quite comfortable.

As mentioned earlier, Cougar doesn’t just make mice. The company’s products include:

  • Aluminium gaming keyboards with Cherry MX Switches
  • Mouse pads
  • Gaming power supplies, some of which range between 600W – 1050W
  • Gaming cases – full and midi towers
  • Coloured 140mm cooling fans
