According to those embargo breaking mavericks at Fudzilla, AMD is gearing up to launch its new graphics card product range before the end of 2010.
According to their source, the HD6000s will be manufactured on an all new 40nm process, and are therefore expected to run cooler, faster and quieter than anything released to date.
If we have learned anything about Fudzilla in the past 2 years, it’s that when they credit information to an “unnamed source” it invariably turns out to be true. So we are taking this one to the bank, and it fits in with our own inside informant who promises two big announcements from AMD in the next two weeks.
It feels like just a few months ago that I was in London for the unveiling of the HD5000 series, which subsequently went on to become the firm favourite for many gamers. It remains to be seen what AMD has in store with its new range, but we can be sure it will be faster than anything available to date.
