Samsung and Facebook’s Oculus said that their new Gear VR headset, priced at $99, should become available in November 2015.
Samsung’s Peter Koo announced the new Gear VR headset price and launch date at Facebook’s Oculus Connect VR developer conference.
The new $99 Gear VR headset replaces the previous version which costs $200, and will work with mobile devices like Samsung’s Note 5 and Galaxy S6 smartphones.
“With mobile VR, you only need a great mobile game device and a smartphone,” said Oculus CEO Brendan Iribe.

So this is what I saw. I went on to the accessories page for Samsung the other day and saw this Gear VR with an Oculus logo. I thought I’d missed something.
