If money was no object, a gaming laptop would be in the arsenal of all gamers.

Below is a selection of the best gaming laptops currently available in South Africa, along with their online retail prices to make your bank account cringe.

We used NotebookCheck’s charts of the top 10 gaming notebooks for April 2016 to make a list of the 5 best gaming laptops available in South Africa.

Local retail prices were obtained from Rebel Tech, Computers Only, Evetech, and WebAntics.

MSI Dominator GT72S

Although the MSI GT72S 6QF model listed on NotebookCheck wasn’t available at the local retailers we checked, the almost identical 6QE model was.

It doesn’t have the standard GeForce GTX980, but NotebookCheck said the 6QE would rank similarly to the 6QF.

Computers Only has a version without Heroes of the Storm branding, with a 4GB GeForce GTX 980M, no SSDs, and a Intel Core i7 6820HQ processor for R45,399.
