New Power Combo technology revolutionises PSUs

19 April 2016

Phantek has officially announced its new Power Combo technology, which allows users to use multiple PSUs to power a single computer.

This technology will be completely plug-and-play, meaning no additional wiring will be required.

In addition, the Power Combo will feature a unique redundant power supply architecture – meaning your system will transfer sources and continue to run should one of the PSUs fail.

This will allow multiple high-end power supplies to be joined in order to power your massive gaming rig. It could also lead to a stronger lower-tier market for PSUs, as gamers could potentially source two cheaper units rather than forking out for the more expensive models.

The Power Combo technology is expected to release before the end of April for a RRP of €39.90 (R654.21).

No official South African release date has been announced for the product.
