Acer has announced a trio of new Predator devices, including a VR-Ready laptop, gaming PC and monitor, reports Engadget.
The Predator 17X gaming notebook, Z1 monitors and G1 gaming PC were all officially debuted at Acer’s New York event on 21 April .
Predator 17X Notebook
The 17X Notebook is an improved version of Acer’s Predator 17, and features an Intel Core i7-6820HK processor paired with an Nvidia GeForce GTX 980 graphics card.
The Notebook is powerful enough to handle any current virtual reality title, and has a 17-inch 4K display.
The Predator 17X Notebook is locally priced at R45,999.
Predator G1 Gaming Desktop
The Predator G1 gaming PC is the third in Acer’s new line of gaming desktops.
The G1 can support an Nvidia GeForce GTX Titan X graphics card and 6th Gen Intel Core i7 processors, along with 64GB of gaming RAM. The PC is designed to be Acer’s ultimate VR-Ready gaming rig.
Blending power with portability, the G1 is a small desktop that packs a heavy punch.
The G1 desktop is priced locally at R18,999.
Predator Z1 Gaming Monitor
Acer’s Predator Z1 gaming monitors feature a choice of three different display sizes – 31.5, 30, and 27 inches.
The Z1 monitors include G-Sync support, and the 30-inch version features an ultra-wide aspect ratio of 21:9.
The Predator Z1 gaming monitors will start off at $600 USD, with price being dependent on the monitor size.
There is no local pricing currently available for the Predator Z1 monitor.
