Asus recently unveiled the second iteration of its liquid cooled ROG gaming laptop, aimed at gamers who seek maximum performance and a manageable form factor.
The ROG GX700VO and ROG GX800VH both feature Asus’ innovative liquid cooling docks, allowing gamers to alternate between hardcore gaming and portability.
These devices feature powerful graphics cards, with the latest iteration using two GeForce GTX 980s in an SLI configuration.
The impressive specifications of the gaming laptops are only fully utilised when the device is connected to its liquid-cooling dock.
This enables the hardware to make use of Asus’ Hydro Overclocking System, which allows for greatly increased performance under ideal cooling conditions.

Overclocking and Benchmarks
By using seperate liquid-cooling docks for the laptops, Asus has enabled the hardware to be heavily overclocked when it is connected to the cooling dock.

- 48% increase in processor performance.
- 31% increased DDR4 RAM frequency – up to 2,800MHz
