Sony has officially unveiled the South African Pricing and release date for its new Xperia smartphones.
The Xperia XZ will release on tariff-based plans at around R469-R579 per month with a recommended retail price of R12,999.
The Xperia X Compact tariff-based plans will be priced at around R300-R400 per month with a recommended retail price of R9,999.
Sony has made it clear that it wishes to make a statement with its pricing, offering a high-end smartphone at a more affordable price.
Both phones are currently available at Vodacom and MTN branches as well as on Takealot.
Sony are also running a number of special campaigns with Takealot, offering the XPERIA XZ at R12,999 with a free Xperia XA Ultra.
Vodacom are also giving away a free Sony Xperia E4 to the first 100 customers who purchase an Xperia XZ.
The first 1,000 MTN users will receive a free Smartwatch 3 with the purchase of their Xperia XZ.
