Apple announced today that it would be adapting the prices of several international app stores to keep up with market changes.
Of particular note is the news that South Africa will see a reduction in app store prices to account for foreign exchange rates.
“Within the next 72 hours, prices for the apps and in-app purchases (excluding subscriptions) will decrease in South Africa to account for foreign exchange rates.”
These changes will apply to any South African Apple account holder who uses any variation of the iTunes or App store.
There’s no word yet as to how drastic the changes will be, but it’s nice to know that companies like Apple are showing an interest in the South African market.
