Runescape, the browser-based game from Jagex, is coming to mobile devices.

The company said a mobile client for the Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game will launch in 2018.

Runescape’s mobile client will include an interface optimised for mobile gaming and will feature full cross-platform play with the desktop version of the game.

Players will be able to log in and play using their existing account on the mobile client once it is available.

“We believe in taking our games to wherever our players want them,” said Jagex CEO Phil Mansell.

“Recent player surveys showed an overwhelming 90% of active players and 64% of former players telling us of their very high intent to play on mobile,” he said.
