Razer has unveiled the Razer Phone, an Android smartphone which features a 120Hz UltraMotion screen and powerful performance.
According to Razer, its phone’s display delivers the fastest refresh rates and smoothest graphics among today’s smartphones.
“UltraMotion’s adaptive refresh technology synchronizes the GPU and display to remove image tearing or lag while driving efficient power usage,” said Razer.
The 5.72-inch display – a QHD IGZO LCD – also delivers images with a wide colour gamut.
The Razer Phone is powered by Dolby Atmos technology to provide “true cinematic audio” via front speakers with dual dedicated amplifiers.
The phone also sports a THX-certified USB-C audio adapter with a 24-bit digital audio convertor.
This is all powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 and 8GB of RAM, and runs on Android 7. The device will receive Android 8 in 2018.
Mobile gaming
Razer has incorporated the Razer Game Booster app into the phone, which allows for gaming experiences to be fine-tuned.
This is complemented by a 4,000mAh battery to ensure long playing times.
Razer has also partnered with the world’s top gaming companies, including Square Enix, to bring the best gaming experiences to mobile.
Mobile games are being optimised by partners for the Razer Phone display, with frame rates of up to 120fps.
The Razer Phone has a recommended retail price of $699.
