Minecraft has officially arrived on the VR platform with the release of Minecraft: Gear VR Edition.
Oculus announced that the VR version of Minecraft is now available from the Oculus Store and is compatible with the mobile Gear VR headset.
The game is similar to Minecraft: Pocket Edition and features the same basic mechanics, including multiplayer.
Minecraft: Gear VR Edition can be played from either a theatre view or a more immersive first-person perspective.
In order to play Minecraft: Gear VR Edition, you will need a wireless gamepad in addition to your smartphone and Gear VR headset.
Minecraft: Gear VR Edition is available from the Oculus Store for $6.99.
