WhatsApp has launched a desktop application for Windows and Mac computers.
“Like WhatsApp Web, our desktop app is simply an extension of your phone,” WhatsApp said. “The app mirrors conversations and messages from your mobile device.”
The new desktop app is available for devices running Windows 8 and newer, and OS X 10.9 and newer.
Because the app runs natively on your desktop, WhatsApp said you will have support for native desktop notifications, and better keyboard shortcuts.
WhatsApp for Mac or Windows PC may be downloaded from the app’s website.
