Pokemon Go

Pokémon Go has begun its official worldwide release, and is currently available on the Google Play and iPhone App stores, reports Gamespot.

The game is currently only available in Australia and New Zealand, and will presumably roll out to more regions, including South Africa in the near future.

Pokémon Go is a free-to-play augmented-reality game which interacts with the real world, allowing players to search for and capture Pokémon hiding in real locations.

The mobile game will offer various microtransactions but will still include classic Pokémon gameplay with multiplayer elements, using reality as the game world.

Some creatures will be country-specific, promoting global communication and competition between players.
