Pokémon GO, the augmented-reality smartphone game, is taking the world by storm.
According to a SimilarWeb report, the game quickly overtook Tinder and has around the same number of daily active users as Twitter.
These statistics refer to US smartphone users, although the game is also officially available in Australia and New Zealand.
As of 8 July, Pokémon GO was installed on 5.16% of Android devices in the United States, with users spending a large amount of time in-game.
Users spend an average of 43 minutes on the game every day – more than they spend using WhatsApp, Instagram, Snapchat, or Messenger.
Pokémon GO has been out for less than a week, but the data displays a very good outlook for the game.
Most users decide whether or not to uninstall an app in the first 3-7 days, and so far Pokémon GO has displayed a good app retention rate.
