The 20th BAFTA Game Awards – Baldur’s Gate 3 cleans up

The 20th BAFTA Game Award winners have been revealed, and unsurprisingly, Baldur’s Gate 3 won Best Game of the Year.

Baldur’s Gate 3 walked away from the awards with four BAFTAs but wasn’t the only title to win multiple awards.

Alan Wake 2, Super Mario Bros. Wonder, and Viewfinder each won two BAFTAs.

The awards go to show just how many excellent games were released last year, with notable examples from many popular genres.

British Game – Viewfinder

Debut Game – Venba

Evolving Game – Cyberpunk 2077

Family – Super Mario Bros. Wonder

Game Beyond Entertainment – Tchia

Game Design – Dave the Diver

Multiplayer – Super Mario Bros. Wonder

Music – Baldur’s Gate 3

Narrative – Baldur’s Gate 3

New Intellectual Property – Viewfinder

Performer in a Leading Role – Nadji Jeter (Miles Morales in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2)

Performer in a Supporting Role – Andrew Wincott (Raphael in Baldur’s Gate 3)

Technical Achievement – The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

EE Player’s Choice – Baldur’s Gate 3
