Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater – New details on body scarring and updated gameplay options

Konami recently unveiled Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater – a remake of the beloved 2004 title coming to PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Steam.

The remake will feature the same gripping story, characters, and world as the original but now supported with next-generation graphics and 3D audio.

According to the official Solid Snake 3: Snake Eater website, the remake has also taken steps to further enhance player experiences

This includes vastly improved cutscenes and leveraging the full capabilities of the Unreal Engine 5 to render scenery in unmatched detail.

Perhaps the most notable feature the website revealed was the game’s authentic representation of the injuries Snake sustains.

Essentially, the game will keep track of the wounds Snake suffers and leave permanent marks on his body.

“Any injuries to his actual body will leave their mark permanently, telling a story of each player’s unique journey through the game,”

Along with being an impressive feature for attention to detail, this feature will no doubt lead to some players going out of their way to get Snake injured.

Just to see how many scars his sinewy frame can support – preferably to the same extent of Shadow of War Orcs covered in full-body bandages.

Players will also be able to choose between a more modern control scheme or the classic style.

This includes a new third-person view and the legacy overhead view.

You can watch the first official trailer for the game, below.
