DoGaming is in full swing hosting its Battlefield 3 competitive season for 2012. EA and Incredible Connection each sponsored R50, 000 towards the event in prize money, making it one of the highest paying competitive gaming leagues in SA gaming history.

Last week marked the final stretch of the first leg of the league, and according to DoGaming, there are a number of teams sitting undefeated with the maximum number of points.

These frontrunners are First in Battle, Never Say Die, NBD and Unity. Bravado Gaming, SiB, BFC, SSG and DC are all undefeated so far, but each still have a game to play according to DoGaming.

There are 8 teams out of a possible 9 that are ready to slot into the Premium League in the next leg of the tournament.

In the final week of the first leg, ASF took down BUD by 390 tickets in Group A, and ARES beat SSG by 552 tickets. FiB beat the GRRR Badgers by 407 tickets.

In group B, FiB lost to BFC by a total of 331 tickets. In Group C, the SLS Scouts took down BUD, winning by 336 tickets, while CraK lost to SS by 404 tickets. NSD beat FTG by 461 tickets.

In Group D, the other NSD team beat EG by 430 tickets, while SSG beat DAC, and MyBB received a free win after WoW was unable to compete due to a complication with reserve players.

In Group E, SiB beat LOA by 435 tickets, and Hump quite narrowly beat KK by 102 tickets. N8 narrowly lost to RTF despite almost staging an impressive second round comeback

Group F saw HpX beat nAz quite convincingly by 363 tickets, and GT Durex Brigade took down FFL. NBD then beat CrZ, winning by a convincing 396 tickets.

In Group G RFH Black Legion narrowly lost to friendly rivals RFH Death Guard by jsut 15 tickets. In contrast, DC beat sN by a convincing 393 tickets.

Finally, Group H saw oNe stage an impressive comeback to beat TE after losing to them in the first round.  VATS  lost quite narrowly to AoA by 83 tickets, while FR beat TCF Raptors by a solid 194 tickets, and The Hawks beat ASF.
