DICE has confirmed the launch dates and details for Battlefield 3’s iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiincoming Aftermath DLC expansion, and dropped a trailer featuring lots of bullet casings and things blowing up to maintain troop morale in the meantime.
The DLC is set in and around “the shattered districts, streets and cities of post-earthquake Iran”, and adds new weapons, vehicles, and a new Scavenger multiplayer mode to the game.
According to the press stuff, “in Scavenger mode, lost soldiers start equipped with only a knife, one grenade, and sidearm and must search the environment for more powerful weapons to increase their chance at surviving and eventually winning.”
Aftermath is tagged at $14.99 / 1200 MSP and will roll out for PS3 Battlefield Premium subscribers on 27 November, Xbox 360 and PC Premium subscribers on 4 December, other PS3 players on 11 December, and everybody else a week later, on 18 December.
