Game of Thrones recreated as a… 2D brawler

Game of Thrones 2D brawler by Roberto Flores

So far, video game adaptations of Game of Thrones haven’t exactly wowed fans, so (predictably, perhaps) it’s the fan-made video game adaptation (that hasn’t actually been made) that’s the biggest hit yet. And by “biggest hit”, I do mean Tyrion Lannister’s slap combo in this concept art mock-up of a Game of Thrones 2D versus fighter.

Created by DeviantArt user Roberto “Dynamaito” Flores, this is pretty much the best Game of Thrones game that will probably never get made, mostly due to complicated licensing and copyright issues (or, basically, the Game of Drones). Which does seem a tremendous shame because, honestly, who doesn’t want to punch Joffrey in the face? It all seems so obvious now.

Cyanide Studios’ action/RPG take on Game of Thrones wasn’t exactly what fans were hoping for, as MyGaming’s Gareth Thomas explained in his review: “This game should be avoided at all costs – it will make your eyes bleed.”
