EA has announced that SimCity will be making its way to Mac, and those who purchase it get a little freebie as well.

From 11 June 2013, you’ll be able to purchase the Mac SimCity through Origin games, but in doing so you’ll also get the PC version, and visa-versa.

If you have already purchased a PC version, you’ll get access to download the Mac version for free once it launches.

EA also announced that both Mac and PC gamers will be able to play on the same servers.

SimCity has sold more than 1.3 million units on PC since launch, and Maxis are currently working on Update 2.0, which is said to fix many of the problems users have been encountering.
