Telltale working on Walking Dead game, maybe

22 January 2011

Telltale Games was created in 2004 by ex LucasArts employees who had worked on numerous classics from the ’90s, most notably the Sam & Max series. More recently the company has managed to secure the rights to develop games for classic film franchises Back to the Future and Jurassic Park. According to 1UP, the developer has dropped a hint which many have taken to suggest that a Walking Dead game is on the cards.

In an invitation, Telltale announced that it is working on five new projects, one of which is “based on a just-launched property from the TV and comic book world whose popularity is changing life as we know.”

The Walking Dead is the most prominent candidate amongst the rumour mill, as the TV show based on the comic was launched recently, and has gone on to become extremely popular. However, we are obviously taking this news with a pinch of salt as it remains completely unconfirmed at this stage.
