Apple and Nintendo have announced that Mario will come to iOS in a game called Super Mario Run.
“We want as many people as possible to enjoy playing as Mario. They’ll be doing it first on iOS in a new game called Super Mario Run,” said Mario creator Shigeru Miyamoto.
The game is an endless runner where Mario automatically runs in one direction and you have to navigate obstacles and enemies by jumping over them.
The longer you tap, the higher Mario jumps.
Miyamoto said the game will release at a set price, which has yet to be announced. The game will release in time for the holidays in 2016.
Nintendo has also created a sticker pack for iMessage, and Miyamoto said they will bring more games to the platform – including a title called Toad Rally.
