Pokemon GO paying player numbers drop dramatically

Pokémon Go has seen a massive decrease in the number of paying players on the platform, according to Slice Intelligence.

The paying population of the game is down by 79% from its peak in July.

Despite the drop in paying users, Pokémon Go is still the most profitable mobile app in the US, stated the report.

Pokémon Go accounts for 28% of all money spent on mobile games in America – more than six-times more than its closest rival, Candy Crush Saga.

Apple recently announced that Pokémon Go will be available for its Apple Watch, and the Pokémon Go Plus accessory is set to be released this month.
