These five countries just got Pokemon GO instead of South Africa

Despite the Pokemon GO fad coming and going, we still eagerly follow Niantic’s updates in the hopes they will finally announce the launch of Pokemon GO in South Africa.

Yet every time they update the supported country list, we leave disappointed.

This last update may be the last straw however, as we saw the countries that got Pokemon GO ahead of South Africa:

Get ready to GO! Trainers in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macau, Macedonia, and Serbia can now download Pokémon GO from Google Play or iTunes!

While we appreciate that South Africa isn’t the largest or most important territory, you would think we would’ve seen a release by now – 4 months after the game’s official release.

Ironically, the Pokemon GO Plus accessory is now available in South Africa for those of you who are still trying to Catch ’em All.
