Nintendo has announced that it will release a preview trailer for its upcoming console later today.

The new Nintendo console is code-named NX, and will be revealed at 16:00 SAST.

Nintendo tweeted overnight that it will a launch preview trailer for the NX, with a Japanese tweet from the company stating the trailer would be around three minutes long.

The console is rumoured to be a portable device with detachable controllers, able to play games independently or connect to a TV for a more traditional console experience.

According to leaked pricing, the Nintendo NX is rumoured to cost around £349.99.
