Nintendo unveils SNES Classic gaming console

SNES Classic

Nintendo has revealed the SNES Classic, which will launch in the US on 29 September.

The retro mini gaming console will sell for $80, and includes 21 built-in games and two controllers.

The games are:

  • Contra III: The Alien Wars
  • Donkey Kong Country
  • EarthBound
  • Final Fantasy III
  • F-ZERO
  • Kirby Super Star
  • Kirby’s Dream Course
  • The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
  • Mega Man X
  • Secret of Mana
  • Star Fox
  • Star Fox 2
  • Street Fighter II Turbo: Hyper Fighting
  • Super Castlevania IV
  • Super Ghouls ‘n Ghosts
  • Super Mario Kart
  • Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars
  • Super Mario World
  • Super Metroid
  • Super Punch-Out!!
  • Yoshi’s Island

    Or… you could buy a raspberry pi, install RetroPie and emulate virtually every console up to and including the PS1.

    It’s becoming a bit pathetic now with all these companies trying to cash in on the retro market by selling overpriced versions of their classic consoles
