Nintendo of America said it will not discount Switch consoles on Black Friday.

It is instead focussing on meeting demand for the console, reported the Washington Post.

The company said it learnt from the launch of the NES Classic in 2016, which was soon sold out. Another batch of NES Classic consoles will be sold next year, said Nintendo.

Nintendo also launched the SNES Classic, which will keep selling through 2018.

Nintendo of America said it is working to ensure there is a regular supply of both consoles for the rest of the year.
