Rumour: The Nintendo NX isn’t even as powerful as current-gen consoles

Recent rumours surrounding the upcoming Nintendo NX might upset die-hard Nintendo fans.

The new hardware will be completely proprietary and will be much closer to the power of an Xbox One than that of the PS4, said Emily Rogers of Arcadegirl. “Even that might be stretching it a tiny bit.”

“Anyone who is claiming that NX is “two times the power of PS4 GPU” is being misled by their sources. Based on what I’ve heard, I don’t believe the NX will compete directly with PS4 (Neo) / PS4K in raw power”.

Details on the NX are currently scarce, although Nintendo has promised to release more information at this years E3 conference in June.
