This is how much Pokemon GO will cost in South Africa

Changes to the iOS version of Pokemon GO finally show what South Africans can expect to pay for in-app purchases, reports htxt.

Of course all of these purchases are optional and if you are anything like us, you haven’t put any money into the game despite playing it non-stop for the last two weeks.

Browsing the iOS version of the game, players should immediately notice from the screenshot below what has been added/changed. That’s right – the PokeCoins’ prices are all displayed in South African Rands.

For those who installed Pokemon GO using their US iTunes accounts, these prices used to be displayed in dollar. On Android, prices have been listed in South African rand since the APK first became available on APKMirror.

Perhaps what’s most exciting is that these changes could be indicative of a local launch sometime in the near future.

With the release of the Pokemon GO Plus accessory on 29 July, it wouldn’t be too far-fetched to expect a local release in the next week or so.
