Total War: Shogun 2 demo lands next week

16 February 2011

Historical strategy buffs gather around, because Sega has announced that it will be releasing a playable demo of Total War: Shogun 2 next week via Steam.

The demo will drop exclusively on Steam on 22 February, giving gamers a chance to try before they buy.

“The demo will allow all armchair samurai to test their skills in epic land battles and on Total War: Shogun 2’s gorgeous new campaign map,” said Sega, being careful not to give us any clue as to exactly what the demo will contain.

Shogun 2 is the first time Creative Assembly is revisiting the first Total War game. The franchise has spanned centuries of world history, from medieval times, to Rome, Sparta, and more recently, the Napoleonic era.

Shogun 2 is launching exclusively on PC on 15 March.
