“We promise to buy Crysis 2 PC” petition doing the rounds

16 February 2011

PC gamers sure do have a reputation for being dirty pirates, although you could argue that the PS3 and Xbox 360 have their fair share of gamers of the more nefarious variety.

Last week, the PC version of Crysis 2 was leaked onto torrent sites, as was Killzone 3 for PS3.

In a bid to prove that PC gamers are not all bad, a group has set up a petition directed at Crytek’s Cevat Yerli, with individuals pledging to buy the the game when it is released.

In response to today’s Crysis 2 Beta leak, we who sign this online documents pledge to purchase a legal copy of Crysis 2.

We also hope that this document shows that Crytek has a loyal PC fanbase that wishes to support their work, not rob them of it like the pirates who have constantly damaged our reputation as a gaming platform.

Crytek, we care.

The petition is currently sitting on fairly modest 737 signatures.

Head on over here to view and sign the petition if you are planning on buying the game.
