The South African pricing of Microsoft’s “Play Anywhere” games is ridiculous

Microsoft recently announced that the first of its “Play Anywhere” games were up for pre-order.

That means titles including ReCore, Gears of War 4 and Forza Horizon 3 will soon be playable on both Xbox One and Windows 10 devices.

PC gamers hoping to play these Xbox exclusives for the first time may be in for a bit of a shock however, as they will be paying premium console prices for access to these games.

Check out the cross-platform pricing below:

ReCore – R689

Gears of War 4 – R999

Gears of War 4: Ultimate Edition – R1,889

Forza Horizon 3: Standard Edition – R999

Forza Horizon 3: Deluxe Edition – R1,499

Forza Horizon 3: Ultimate Edition – R1,899
