StarCraft II patch 1.3.0 balance tweaks cause community ruckus

28 February 2011

Blizzard is busy testing out a new StartCraft II patch on the public test region, and although most gamers are pleased with the general interface improvements being implemented, a number of balance changes made to the three races have competitive players up in arms.

Terran players will be pleased to see that the Battlecruiser has been given a noticeable speed increase, although Stim Pack research has been lengthened, as has Bunker build time.

Units leaving the Protoss Mothership now gain invulnerability for 1.5 second, while the High Templar Khaydarin Amulet upgrade has been removed, and charging Zealots will now hit fleeing targets at least once.

The Zerg Infestor gets a health increase, while Fungal Growth now does more damage against armoured units, but stuns for only four seconds instead of eight.
