We are only just hitting November and 2016 has already been a stellar year for gaming.
With the holiday season just around the corner, the year is only set to get better with more quality releases incoming.
Unfortunately with the good comes the bad, and this year we have also seen some absolute trash.
Check out the worst video games of 2016 according to Metacritic below:
1) Ghostbusters (Xbox One and Ps4) – 30/100
*Ghostbusters appeared twice in the bottom five. The PS4 version stands at a Metacritic score of 30, the Xbox One version stands at a score of 32.
A game that’s as disappointing as it is poor, Ghostbusters took one of the most magical movie franchises of all time and turned it into something unforgivably dull.
2) Dino Dini’s Kick Off Revival (PS4) – 31/100
Billed as a football game that would take the sports back to basics, Dino Dini’s Kick Off Revival couldn’t even get that right.
3) Soda Drinker Pro (Xbox One) – 31/100
A game that played on the “quirky” simulators popular with Twitch streamers, Soda Drinker Pro is both nonsensical and broken.
4) Langrisser Re:Incarnation -TENSEI- (3DS) – 35/100
A product that was quickly rushed out of the door, reviewers found Langrisser Re:Incarnation to be both an unisnpired and unpolished experience.
5) 7 Days to Die (Xbox One) – 35/100
A game that ranks quite highly among Steam’s Survival community but launched as a complete and utter mess of an Xbox port.
Add to this an unforgivable visual downgrade and broken controller mapping, and we have a real stinker on our hands.
