The next Assassin’s Creed has been leaked

3 October 2016

Despite having a new game to play every year since 2007, a new game in the Assassin’s Creed franchise is one of the notable omissions of 2016.

Standards have arguably dropped over the last couple of titles (both from a gameplay and technical point of view) but it’s easy to forget that the folks at Ubisoft still put out a massive single-player experience every year.

That’s why it is surprising that a leaked image of “Empire”, an early prototype of the next Assassins Creed which appears to be set in Egypt, has surfaced online.

Unfortunately, the game is still very early in development and Ubisoft has already confirmed that it is highly unlikely we will see a new FarCry or Assassin’s Creed in 2017.
