You will have to buy the R1,549 version of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare to play Modern Warfare Remastered

3 October 2016

It’s no secret that one of the biggest selling points of Call of Duty: Infinite warfare is access to the Modern Warfare remake.

That’s why recent rumours that the remaster could be sold separately had us incredibly excited.

Unfortunately, OutofLives has now confirmed that you will not only require a copy of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare in order to play Modern Warfare Remastered, but physical versions will also require the disc to be in the machine.

We can’t help but think this is a missed opportunity by Activision, as the high price point of the new game could will lock many consumers out.

How high?

The Digital Legacy Edition (the version that includes the Modern Warfare Remaster) currently clocks in at R1,549 for the digital console versions.
