StarCraft II demo finally released for EU region

14 March 2011

Blizzard Entertainment has finally released a demo for StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty that caters for EU region players. The demo features the first three missions of the single-player campaign, as well as unlimited access to skirmish mode as the Terrans versus an A.I. opponent.

Yes, the demo has been available in North America for many months now but that also restricted the demo account to the North American servers, and South African players prefer to hang out on the EU side. This gives the demo player the option of upgrading their fondly named demo account to a full version of the game on the EU servers.

For the solitary PC gamer that hasn’t tried StarCraft II yet, the StarCraft II demo client is waiting to be downloaded from www.trystarcraft.com when you wake from your coma. The demo can be played offline following a validation process. A Battle.net account is not required to download or play the demo.
