How to stop Windows 10 from crippling your gaming performance

Many gamers using Microsoft’s Windows 10 have recently been experiencing micro-stutter issues and reduced gaming performance on the OS.

While some tech-savvy users may already have fixed their performance problems, some may not be aware of certain settings that can reduce gaming performance on Windows 10.

Due to a recent update to the operating system, some users may have had some settings restored to their default configuration, including Game DVR.

This feature records gameplay and screenshots but can considerably affect performance, causing issues such as micro-stutter and framerate irregularities.

Here’s how to fix the problem, courtesy of ListeningPost:

Go into your Xbox app and disable Game DVR via the toggle switch. You may have to login to see these settings.

And it’s that easy, you should experience less micro-stutter and performance issues, although keep in mind your gaming performance problems could be caused by other issues.
