South African eSports platform lets you earn money from competitive gaming

League of Legends competitive games

A new and award-winning online gaming platform designed to give South African gamers and eSport athletes unprecedented power to organise their own tournaments is gaining international recognition.

Gaming Battle Ground (GBG) beat hundreds of other startups from around the world to be pitched on stage at the prestigious EIG Expo Startup Launch Pad in Berlin.

Although the company did not win the startup competition, GBG was approached by several interested venture capitalists after the event and will be negotiating with a number of them in the coming weeks.

GBG allows players to earn rewards and cash by competing in eight games including Starcraft 2, DOTA 2, League of Legends and CS:GO.

Competitive gamers will have to pay an entry fee in order to enter a tournament and can earn rewards and cash prize from placing well.

Tournament hosts earn 10% of the entry fee for hosting a tournament.

How to sign up:

  • Go to gamingbattleground.co.za
  • Click the login/signup button to register.
  • Create your profile on the GBG dashboard (https://dashboard.gamingbattleground.co.za/home)
  • Browse and join the tournaments available or create and host your own tournament by inviting players or challenging friends to compete.
  • Qualify for prize money if chosen tournament has a prize on offer.
