The 10 best mods for Skyrim Special Edition

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition has only been out for a few days, but dedicated modders have already gotten stuck into the work of creating amazing mods for the remastered version of the game.

Of course, Skyrim Special Edition also features mod support for Xbox One and PlayStation 4, with a few caveats for each platform.

Modding for the PlayStation 4 is particularly hamstrung, as Sony has banned any mods which do not use the vanilla game’s assets.

We’ve ranked the ten most popular on the Skyrim Special Edition Nexus, inserting their Nexus description and a download link for both PC and console, where supported.

The Xbox One supports a surprising number of popular mods, including the impressive Apocalypse – Magic of Skyrim mod.

The PlayStation 4’s mod library cannot compare to the PC or Xbox One’s however, and none of the mods on this list are compatible with the PS4.
