Farming Simulator 17 is more popular than Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare on PC, according to Steams concurrent player statistics.

Farming Simulator has more players than the latest addition to the Call of Duty franchise, with a peak concurrent player count of 26,044 today compared to Infinite Warfare’s 15,436 peak players.

While Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare received positive reviews, it seems that its popularity at launch has been lower than expected.

Farming Simulator 17 has been out for two weeks and is priced at a relatively cheap R449 compared to Infinite Warfare’s R999 price tag.

Steam’s review scores could also be a cause of Infinite Warfare’s low popularity, as the game as a 55% overall review score compared to Farming Simulator 17’s impressive 89% overall review score.

Due to the low amount of concurrent players for a triple-A game launch, it may be difficult for local gamers to find multiplayer games in a reasonable time.

Matchmaking issues would be even worse on Microsoft’s Windows Store platform, as players are unable to play with Steam users and may only play with other Windows Store purchasers.
