A new Metro game is set to release next year, according to the book series’ official site.
A timeline on the website shows the next Metro video game releasing in 2017.
The upcoming Metro game will be set after the events of the Metro 2035 novels, according to the site:
“It all adds up to something. Where the books end their story, the game will pick it up. An era of great discoveries lies ahead…”
According to a report by Eurogamer, developer 4A games has previously mentioned they are working on multiple projects, teasing the possibility of a new Metro game.
It is important to note that the timeline lists the release date of the Metro 2035 novel as 2015, while it is actually set to release in December 2016.
This means that the new Metro game could be delayed, but is definitely in the works.
