A lot has happened in the world of PC gaming recently, with Obsidian releasing its highly-anticipated CRPG Tyranny and EVE Online going free to play after 13 years.
Keeping all of this in mind, we’ve rounded up our selection of games you should check out this weekend, whether they are new, discounted, or free for a certain time.
Check out out top picks below:
EVE Online – Free
EVE Online just went free to play, and if you’re a fan of sandbox, space MMOs there is no reason not to give it a try this weekend.
The game is possibly the most difficult MMO ever created however, with a steep learning curve and complex game mechanics.
Luckily, the limitations imposed on free players don’t interfere with their ability to grasp the basics of the game.
Dishonored 2 – R799
Dishonored 2 has officially launched, and it looks like the perfect sequel to the original game.
With its unique character abilities, and creative steampunk weapons, Dishonored 2 lets you pull of ridiculously cool assassinations.
Players can play as either Corvo or Emily on their latest quest for revenge.
Tyranny – R449
While Tyranny is not the newest title on this list, the game has been met with great reviews and praise from fans of the classic role-playing genre.
Featuring a unique perspective on morality and an enhanced turn-based combat system, Tyranny is an un-missable experience from legendary RPG developer Obsidian.
Planet Explorers – R269
Planet Explorers has now launched on Steam Early Access, and it certainly looks interesting.
Mixing the creativity of Minecraft with the storyline of an RPG, the game could be one of the most unique titles this year if it manages to polish its voxel-based building system and open-world multiplayer.
Regardless, if you’re a fan of creative games like Minecraft, Planet Explorers delivers that and much more.
The game also has a free demo on Steam, so you can try it if you’re a bit wary of Early Access titles.
The Elder Scrolls Online – Free to Try
The Elder Scrolls Online has been around for a while, but if you haven’t tried it out yet, this weekend is the perfect time to jump into the MMORPG.
The game will be free to play until Monday, meaning that gamers can jump into the world of Tamriel this weekend and try it out for themselves at no cost.
If you enjoy the game, you can also grab it on Steam at over 50% off until 23 November.
