Remedy could be working on an Alan Wake sequel

Remedy, those talented humans behind Max Payne, Alan Wake, and the shamefully underappreciated Quantum Break, are cooking up something, but what exactly?

Posted on the official Remedy Twitter account, creative director (and Mr Max Payne himself) Sam Lake appeared in a video where he teases a brand new game. Check it out below:

It’s anyone’s guess what exactly the studio will be announcing. Rumours of an Alan Wake sequel were floating around for quite some time – some alpha footage was even leaked – until Microsoft squashed the project; so that seems to be out of the question, or is it?

The short jingle at the end of the video suggests the tone and feel of the game will be something lighter than Remedy’s previous projects, which could mean we’ll see an entirely new game rather than a sequel.

It’s speculated that the trailer will debut on 1 December at the Video Game Awards.
